What is it?

At Oasis, we take great pride in cultivating a culture of continual growth and making a positive impact. As a manifestation of our core values—honesty, efficient practices, and expertise—we have developed the Oasis Pay It Forward Program.
This program serves as our corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, inspiring our employees to engage in acts of kindness towards both their colleagues and the wider community.
By working together, we can foster a more supportive and uplifting work environment, characterized by open communication, agility, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. The Oasis Pay It Forward Program not only helps enhance employee retention and attract top talent, but also contributes to bolstering our company's reputation.

Why we do it?

The Pay It Forward program thrives at Oasis because it resonates with our core value of gratitude. While our team members cherished gift cards and extra time off, the chance to extend gratitude by sharing their good fortune created a profound impact. The overwhelming enthusiasm stems from the opportunity to support meaningful causes or lend a helping hand to those in need, aligning with what matters most to them. Together, we embrace the power of gratitude and making a positive difference in the lives of others.

How we do it?

The Oasis Pay It Forward program originated as a fresh approach to recognize our team members. In the past, during monthly company meetings, birthdays and work anniversaries were celebrated with the spin of a prize wheel, offering gift cards from Amazon, movies, and more. During Covid, we introduced a Pay It Forward wedge granting team members $100 to donate as they saw fit, spreading kindness to charities, causes, or those in need. It quickly became the most sought-after option, and heartwarming stories of paying it forward flooded in. Over time, all the wheel wedges transformed into Pay It Forward wedges in different denominations. Witnessing the diverse ways our team members give back is truly inspiring.

Panera worker overwhelmed -> $20 tip. Was shocked why he was doing it and intrigued in the business

During the height of COVID-19 and labor shortages, one of our employees donated to a Panera Bread worker. They were shocked why they received a tip, but were so appreciative from the donation

Tipped mover after his car got broken down and he couldn't get it out of the shop. The $100 that was given was what he needed to get his car out of the shop. He said afterwards, "For my next paycheck, I'm going to pay it forward to someone else. It may only be a small amount, but I'm going to do something to make a difference."

Hired someone to aid with an upcoming move, and they shared in conversation that their car was broken down in the shop but they couldn't afford to get it out of the shop. The Pay It Forward was nearly exactly what they needed to get their car out of the shop. They said after receiving it that, "For my next paycheck, I'm going to pay it forward to someone else. It may only be a small amount, but l'm going to do something to make a difference."

Niece is JCPS teacher specializing in traumatic situations and reading. Non-profit was started - I Would Rather be Reading - providing access to literacy and social/emotional learning to children who have a background on trauma. After school programs around JCPS. Received Pay It Forward and matched it to donate 20 $5 gift cards to Kroger and purchased gift baskets for the kids

One of our team member's nieces created a non-profit for the JCPS school system - I Would Rather Be Reading. With their Pay It Forward, they provided 20 $5 gift cards to Kroger and purchased gift baskets as an incentive for the children to attend school and read afterschool

The week before Christmas went to dinner- gave waitress a $50 tip. She said it was her last day and was moving, needed to make extra money for her move

Dreams with Wings (our client) sent a letter telling how the donation was distributed and the lessons that were able to be provided

Horse barn that burned down in Prospect, KY. Barn where Jody bordered her horses for 20 years. Donated the Pay It Forward to them

Was at a Goodwill -> left a $100 at the counter and told them to utilize it to pay for everyone until it ran out

Gave half to St. Jude and SarahHomeless.org

Went to a benefit for Visually Impaired Preschool Services. Friend who has a young son who is blind. VIP helps kids who need additional services as they go through school. Donated to their organization

Family friend who was struggling to make payments on their mortgage

CSI - Rescue people who are enslaved, specifically in Sedan. Work with underground group of Arab cattlemen. Go into cattle camps to identify the people. Organization helps to return them to their families and villages. Provide them housing and support.

Worker in construction that couldn't afford proper equipment. Donated the Pay It Forward and purchased equipment and work supplies for him.

Noticed a construction worker that didn't have proper equipment or uniform. One of our team members utilized the Pay It Forward to purchase equipment and uniforms for him.

$200 pay it forward - used ½ to contribute to Alleycat Advocates: captures feral cats, snips them and lets them back out

$75 to Lidia House, local organization for battered women that gets small one-bedroom apartments. It goes towards diapers, food to help women get back on their feet $75 to a classmate's father that is terminal with cancer to spend time with his family before he passes
